Carromex Pty Ltd has released a PC based new software application called MonthAhead for home and business. Monthahead is designed for new Windows Vista operating system, and was released almost simultaneously with the release of Windows Vista.

The application came about when a client grew frustrated with the available software for his personal finance needs. The client had tried several manual filing systems, the record keeping software from the Australian Tax Office, several windows and linux based accounting packages. Over a five year period he found it hard to consistently find information when his family needed it. And yet all of these took up valuable time. He would much rather spend time with his family instead.

As a Microsoft Independent Software Vendor partner, Carromex began to research the Windows Vista operating system. We found its architecture offered new possibilities to develop an innovative software application that took much less of the clients time. The new windows offered Windows Desktop Search, native. NET framework support, the XML paper specification, two scanning applications useful in different scenarios and much much more.

The client has been using MonthAhead for approximately one year. During that time a number of challenges arose, which Carromex were able to overcome through frequent updates and their long experience with supporting PC users. Carromexs PC users have ranged from home users, medical practices, academics, government users, engineering users and others.

The clients family were extremely pleased to be able to spend less time doing tedious data entry. They found the process required by MonthAhead very quick and easy. Monthahead has a wizard to complete once a month, and documents are processed with a few mouse clicks.

With MonthAhead you are able to save space in a home office. You can use it to answer identification questions when you are on the phone. It gives you a full vendor history at the click of a button. You can see graphs and tables that you would never want to type up. It manages both paper and downloaded documents.

MonthAhead can even show you the date of purchase for warranty claims, tax compliance, filling in forms etc. You do not have to type these dates in. This is amazing given the confusing dates you find in all sorts of documents. Last payment date, due date, issue date, processed date, created date, modified date and so on. This also means you can browse in chronological order.

For users who are concerned about security, you need consider the need for an offsite backup. In the unfortunate event of a fire, burglary, storm damage or other forms of total loss, storing a backup off-site will protect you. Monthahead helps you achieve this.

To create MonthAhead we needed to bring together knowledge from Artificial Intelligence, Digital Imaging, Banking Software and Accounting Software. We hope our effort will benefit millions of people worldwide as the deployment of Windows Vista gathers momentum.
